Wild clay!!!!
On our first day we went into the mountains to dig materials. We then “built” some rudimentary “equipment” and systems to crush, screen and blend the clay. In 2 days we had it ready to work with. We made a body using half wild clay and half commercial materials. Everyone is really excited to give it a try. @archie_bray @culturalconfluencewoodfire

Great first day of the Cultural Confluences Symposium collecting wild materials with @woodfirelust
It was wonderful to get out a see some of Montana and feel this place and what it can inspire.
One of the things I’ve always appreciated about wild clay prospecting is how much enthusiasm it can inspire in people. I think the looks on people’s faces in these images really tell the story.

Here is a couple more from the wedding by our friend @maxcooperavl
I think today was the first day that I woke up and didn’t feel exhausted. The past week mostly just involved cleaning up from the wedding and trying to recover from it all. The urgency and adrenaline of the preparations are long gone.
Loose ends are getting tied back up and things are starting to return to a semblance of normal.
It was all worth it though. It truly was an epic event.
I can’t say thank you enough to all the people who helped make it happen.
Most of all to my wonderful wife @carolinaflowers_

Our hearts are so FULL with love because of all of YOU!!!
Thank you to everyone who made this amazing event happen. We are beyond words. Our appreciation is at full capacity. We could not have done this without you.
We created a cyclone of love together that stopped a hurricane in its tracks. It’s was a protective bubble of dryness. It was a miracle.
We are slowly cleaning up, settling affairs, and recovering this week.
But mostly we have been replaying events over in our minds.
It really was a blur.
I wish we could have spent more time with all of you.
We are so glad that all of you came.
It was epic.
