Another beautiful Tasmanian sunrise from the back porch of Ridgeline pottery. Whether it’s the time difference or just the fact that I’m so excited to start everyday, we’ve been waking up before the dawn, fixing a coffee and sitting on the porch just appreciating the world and it’s beauty. #adventure #sunrise
One of my favorite things to do, especially when I travel to new places, is make images of textures, patterns and details of a types. This is an excerpt of a few of my favorites from my Tasmania adventure so far. The images are taken from around Ridgeline pottery, where I’m working, and from the lagoon in Cremorne, which is just down the hill, and one of the places we go to gather clay and take swims.
First day in the workshop. Warming up with some cups of golden clay cast in golden light. #ceramics #adventure #joshcopus
Docking up some timber out in the bush with the ute for the upcoming firing. The toilets might flush the other way but chainsaws cut the same downunder. #ceramics #adventure @ridgelinepottery
Picked up a couple of shells on Clifton beach to use in the firing with @dustinfowlerceramics . #ceramics #adventure
Good morning from Tasmania. We are gearing up another day in paradise down here. Getting ready for the ‘worker bee’, some mates from the area are coming over to help out on a full day of wood cutting and splitting, shelf cleaning and washing, and other general studio chores in preparation for the upcoming firing. #community #adventure @ridgelinepottery
Day one in Tasmania. Not a bad view to wake up to. #adventure
