I went to the @bluespiral1 gallery today to drop off some work and check out the shows that they have up right now. Always good to see @andrew_hayes_studio crushing it as usual. Andrew is a resident artist at the @penlandschool and is hands down making some of my favorite fine craft work in the country. To everyone in the Internet world I would highly recommend checking out his Instagram feed. And check out his partners work @krehkreh while your at it. She’s equally awesome. #andrewhayes #bluespiral1 #apotterslife #community

Another picture of me excited about a huge mountain of clay. I’m sorry… I couldn’t resist… I’m really not meaning to fill the Internet up with pictures of myself… it’s just that I really am that excited about what I am doing right now and I just want to share it with the world. #apictureofexcitement #wildclay #wildclaygeekout #wildclayresearch #localmaterials #localclay #apotterslife #ceramics

@henrycrissman loading his mobile Anagama at the Cousins in Clay show at Bulldog pottery yesterday. We had a great visit with all the “cousins”. It’s a great family to be a part of. I wish we could have stayed longer helped Henry fire this thing. Hopefully we can get him up to Asheville for a burn this summer. Going to huge piles of clay never gets old, especially when your wild clay geek out partner is Michael Hunt of @bandanapottery . I should have quite a stockpile of exciting new clays to play with by the time @ridgelinepottery shows up for a visit in August. #wildclay #wildclayresearch #localclay #localmaterials #terreism #wildclaygeekout #apotterslife #ceramics

Scenes from the gardens out on the land yesterday. When I bought my land 8 years ago it was a swap and I had zero interest in doing things like growing flowers. Now it looks like this and one of my favorite pastimes is working in the gardens. It’s funny how your priorities in life change and evolve. I still can’t remember the names of half the stuff I have, and I’m still much better at making the places where the flowers grow than actually growing the flowers… But I’m learning. #gardens #landproject #apotterslife
