Great first day of the Cultural Confluences Symposium collecting wild materials with @woodfirelust
It was wonderful to get out a see some of Montana and feel this place and what it can inspire.
One of the things I’ve always appreciated about wild clay prospecting is how much enthusiasm it can inspire in people. I think the looks on people’s faces in these images really tell the story.

I had one of the most amazing days exploring the Archie Bray with @davidpetersceramics today. The first time I went there 2 weeks ago it was so overwhelming I couldn’t really see it. Today we got to really go deep. It had just rained and dampness was pushing the colors out everywhere. The light was perfect. I love exploring old abandoned places and I love ceramics, and the Bray is both of those things. It is simultaneously an abandoned brick factory and a vibrant contemporary ceramics center. It’s a shrine and today it touched my soul. @archie_bray #archiebray #ceramics #adventure
