The studio is ready for its final inspection. I still lack trim around the windows and the floor will get paved in stone, but it’s as done as it will be for now.
I’ll start getting it set up on Monday and getting some work made. Finally.
It looks great. I’m happy with how it feels. I’ll be posting some photos of the finished space soon.

Board washing station.
I’m onto the final push to finish the studio at the land.
11 years ago when I first started the land project, my neighbor Rob was renovating the old Marshall High School. The old auditorium had a raked floor and the torn it out and made it level. These boards are the old subfloor from that auditorium.
Rob said I could salvage them to burn in my kiln but I had bigger visions for them.
I knew 11 years ago that I would use this wood to finish out the inside of my future studio. I’ve been holding on to them ever since.
The moment has finally arrived.

Process shots the studio. This is what has been consuming all my time recently.
I started this building 10 years ago. It has function as a barn and a materials shed. The plan has always been to make it a studio…AND NOW THAT IS FINALLY HAPPENING.
The wiring and insulation are done. Hopefully I’ll be able to finish sheeting and cladding the inside today.
This will be my studio for the next few years and ultimately will become the gallery when we have the resources to build the big studio.
A special thanks to all the hands that have helped me with this vision. You know who you are. I love you dearly.
