All clean and quiet out here on the kiln front. I really cherish the first overnight and subsequent morning shift of the burn. My firings are so full of energy and people, which I love… But the beginning of the firing is my time. Time to collect my thoughts, clean and organize all the things and spend some quality one on one with my kiln. Years ago my friend Tom Rohr taught me about the clean ship strategy and ice been putting his principles into practice ever since. In order to have a good burn you have to start in a good place. I wouldn’t have it any other way…because it only gets crazy again from here. #cleanship #templekiln #woodfire #woodkiln #joshcopuspottery #ceramics #kiln
