It was a big weekend with the amazing telehandler machine!!!
We moved 6 very heavy loads of bricks to 3 different sites. The last of the firebricks from last years East Fork Kiln tear down.
Since there is no wood kiln there anymore, I moved all the kiln wood that East Fork had prepared to my land for future firings!!! 3 loads like this in total. It’s a lot of wood.
Thanks to the folks at @eastforkpottery for making this resource available to the community. It’s good to see it go to new homes, and I’m glad that this wood is going to get melted into glaze… as it was always intended for.
Also if folks are interested in what will become of the Old East Fork Pottery, my friend @marjoriedial bought it and is making a residency program. Check out @township10
It’s really the best thing that could have happened in my opinion (other than East Fork staying in Madison County that is!) Look for 3 new wood kilns being built out of these bricks in the future. With @candicehensley @nicklistoceramics @merryfarmpottery
